What to Expect

We want you to know what to expect as we work with you to provide quality medical care for your injured or ill pet. You are always encouraged to contact us for an update on your pet's condition while he/she is hospitalized in our facility.

Upon Arrival at Our Office

Upon arrival, your pet will be triaged by our trained medical staff to find out if he/she requires immediate assistance and to determine the seriousness of the problem. You will be asked to fill out an admission form upon arrival. Please understand that patients requiring more urgent attention will be seen by the doctor right away, even if they have arrived after you.

Physical Exam
You and your pet will be taken into an exam room where a technician will collect a thorough history by asking a series of questions. The technician will also assess your pet's vital signs and weight. This information will then be relayed to the veterinarian who will examine your pet and ask further questions to help determine the nature of the problem. If your pet is seriously ill, he/she may be taken directly to the veterinarian for immediate attention, and we will give you an update as soon as possible.

While Your Pet is in Our Care
If your pet needs immediate medical attention, you can turn to our Emergency Department at any time—without an appointment. Our specially trained emergency team is available 24/7 to provide expert care for urgent, potentially life-threatening illnesses and injuries at a moment's notice, or when your family veterinarian is unavailable.

Whatever condition brings your pet to our Emergency Department, our team of caring doctors and technical staff has the experience, expertise, and advanced equipment to provide whatever level of care is needed.

We understand that it's stressful to have a pet in the hospital, and you can rest assured that we will treat your pet as we would our very own. We will guide you every step of the way, with respect, kindness, and empathy during your pet's urgent need.
